Chelsea climbed to the summit of the Women’s Super League table following a comfortable 3-0 victory against Aston Villa at home.

The Blues received an early boost when Villa goalkeeper Anna Leat was sent off for handling the ball outside the penalty area to prevent a shot from Sjoeke Nusken with only four minutes played.

Aggie Beever-Jones broke the deadlock for Emma Hayes' team in the 18th minute, followed by Maika Hamano extending their lead before half-time.

Maintaining dominance throughout, Chelsea furthered their lead in the second half with a goal from Kadeisha Buchanan, who headed in a delivery from Catarina Macário.

With their fourth consecutive WSL win, Chelsea reclaimed the top spot, tied on points with Manchester City but leading with a superior goal difference. Meanwhile, Aston Villa remains in seventh place.

As a Chelsea fan, I am extremely satisfied with the team's performance in this match. The early red card for Aston Villa definitely worked in our favor and the players were able to capitalize on it with three well-deserved goals. Domination from start to finish, and reclaiming the top spot just adds to the satisfaction. Keep it up, Chelsea!
