      Catalan side overturn first-leg deficit...

Barcelona booked their place in the Champions League final after overturning their first-leg deficit at Stamford Bridge.

There were over 39,000 fans at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea went into this one with a 1-0 lead after winning in Barcelona.

As expected, the visitors had plenty of the ball but got some luck to put them ahead. Aitana Bonmatí found space just on the edge of the area and her shot was heading goalwards but probably straight at goalkeeper Hannah Hampton until Kadeisha Buchanan attempted to block the shot diverted into the net.

Chelsea did look dangerous whenever they broke forward though. Melanie Leupolz may well have been offside but she didn't know that as her effort hit the bar. Meanwhile, Catarina Macário forced Cata Coll with a fine improvised volley.

The second half continued a similar theme with Barcelona enjoying much of the ball while the Blues looked to make the most of the opportunities whenever they arose. Sjoeke Nüsken was very close to doing that for her side but she saw her effort hit the post.

With the tie 1-1 on aggregate, the odds tipped drastically in Barça's favour when Buchanan received her second yellow card for a foul on Bonmatí.

In truth, the dynamic of the game didn't shift even considering Chelsea's inferior numbers but Barcelona had far more space to work with.

The visitors eventually took the lead from the penalty spot after Bonmatí was fouled when she was sandwiched in between Jess Carter and Ashley Lawrence.

VAR took a long look at the incident but didn't intervene leaving Fridolina Rolfö to send Hampton the wrong way and make it 2-0 to Barcelona on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.

From that point on Barcelona managed the game well with Emma Hayes, in her final game managing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, resorting to bringing on the returning Millie Bright as a makeshift striker.

Jonatan Giráldez's team saw out the game well though and booked their place in the Champions League final in Bilbao where they will take on either Lyon or Paris Saint-Germain.

Hayes and Chelsea will have to shift their focus back on the league as they take on Liverpool next week.

Unbelievable game! As a Barcelona fan, I couldn't be prouder of the team's determination to overturn the deficit. But credit to Chelsea for putting up a good fight. Can't wait for the final!

Wow, what a game! As a Barcelona fan, I am thrilled to see them overturn the deficit and secure a spot in the Champions League final. It was a tense match, but luck was on our side with Buchanan's own goal. Chelsea put up a strong fight, but Barcelona's possession game ultimately prevailed. Can't wait for the final!
