Real Madrid's assistant coach, Aitor Karanka, anticipates a hard game against Villareal, ahead of the BBVA Wednesday evening clash at the Santiago Bernabeu. Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Garrido, Villareal's manager tells his players to up their act after a disappointing start of the season.
On Wednesday evening, Los Blancos will welcome Villareal for the BBVA league's matchday 10 and despite coming from a series of hammering wins and playing against a team who are just two points above the relegation zone, Jose Mourinho's assistant coach has considered Villareal what could be a surprising threat for Real Madrid, as he praised their manager.
"We look at Villarreal as a team who created many problems for us last year. They have a great coach, who has been at the club for many years, and they will create us many problems. They are a much better team than the table shows," Aitor Karanka said at a press conference.
Karanka also had time to give cumpliments to La Liga's top team Levante: "Right now, they are the strongest team in the competition. For a club in their situation, you have to praise them. They are the ones who deserve all the credit", he concluded.
In the meantime, at another press conference, Villareal's manager Juan Carlos Garrido has warned his players must play tough to impress and upper their level at the Spanish championship: "We are playing against a very powerful team, who have been performing in an extraordinary way. That gives us more motivation because this is a match everyone wants to play. These are special games because they are very important and I am sure my players will give their best."
Villareal sit at the sisxteenth position in La Liga's table with seven points having one just once and lost three times in the current season.
