AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegro is confident that Antonio Cassano will make his comeback before the end of the season.
The striker is still recovering from heart surgery after suffering a minor stroke in November due to a heart condition. It was suggested his career could be at risk but the Rossoneri manager insists he may return in time to play the final matches with the team and help Italy through Euro 2012 as well.
“We hope to have him back by the end of the season. For us and for the Italy national team,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “Antonio was having the best year of his career in terms of physical and technical levels.”
