Ancelotti's Madrid beat PSG in Sweden

Carlo Ancelotti earned a friendly win against his former side thanks to a single Benzema goal midway through the first half. 

Although PSG enjoyed lots of possession and the clearest chances the wasteful Lavezzi ensured Madrid ended the match with a confidence boosting win.   

The first half was decided by the difference between the two sides finishing with Lavezzi twice missing glorious chances for the hosts while Benzema showed real composure as he gave Madrid the lead. 

Lavezzi should have opened the scoring when Maxwell crossed for the Argentinian and he beat Lopez in the Madrid goal but the ball went wide of the target.

His side were punished just one minute later when Ozil danced the ball gracefully into the middle and laid it off for Benzema who placed it gracefully into the corner past Sirigu. 

Lavezzi's second glorious opportunity was squandered when Lopez scrambled to get into position, but the strikers volley struck his own hand and flew a couple of feet wide. 

The second forty five lacked a real cutting edge with Ozil going closest for Madrid with his effort fizzing just wide while PSG resorted to long range efforts other than a fine drive from Lavezzi that narrowly missed the target. 

The match fizzled out with Ronaldo posing the only late threat but his free-kick was palmed away by Sirigu.
