Arsenal go back top after comfortable win over Luton

Arsenal returned to winning ways with a routine 2-0 win over Luton Town at the Emirates Stadium and will spend the night at the top of the Premier League.

It was an impressive first half from the Gunners, dominating the game with complete control, patience, and denying any opportunity for the Hatters to regain momentum.

The hosts took the lead in the 24th minute following a well-executed press by Emile Smith Rowe, leading to the Gunners winning possession high up the field.

Martin Odegaard then received the ball, initiated a slick one-two with Havertz, and confidently slotted it into the bottom corner of the net.

Just before half-time, Arsenal doubled their lead after Smith Rowe delivered a powerful ball across the face of the goal, causing Luton defender Daiki Hashioka to inadvertently redirect the ball into his own net.

In the second half, Mikel Arteta's side reduced the pace of the game, resulting in few opportunities for either side.

It was a good evening for Arteta - three points, solid performance, squad rotation and no injuries.

With this win, the Gunners will move back to the top of the Premier League, one point clear of Liverpool, who play bottom-placed Sheffield United at Anfield on Thursday. Luton stay in relegation zone, three points from safety.

Both sides will now play on Saturday, with Arsenal travelling to Brighton, while Luton will host Bournemouth.

As an Arsenal fan, I couldn't be happier with this performance! Dominating the game, slick passing and clinical finishing - this is the Arsenal we know and love. Let's keep this momentum going and stay at the top of the league!

Wow, what a win for Arsenal! They were absolutely dominant in the first half, controlling the game and not giving Luton any chance to come back. The press by Emile Smith Rowe was brilliant and led to a well-deserved goal by Martin Odegaard. And that own goal just proves how much pressure Arsenal were putting on Luton. A great performance all around and we deserve to be at the top of the Premier League tonight!

However, the Gunners were able to comfortably hold onto their lead and secure the much-needed three points.

As a fan of Arsenal, I am thrilled to see the team bounce back after a tough start to the season. The first half was a joy to watch, with the players displaying complete dominance and control over the game. Odegaard's goal was a thing of beauty, and Smith Rowe's delivery for the second goal was top-notch. It's great to see the young players stepping up and
