Arsenal have confirmed they are improving their form by grabbing a third consecutive win after beating Stoke City (3-1) at the Emirates stadium. Robin van Persie was decisive as the scored a double winner that gave the home team a precious victory.
The game went to half-time registering a draw as Peter Crouch responded at 34’ to Gervinho’s opener at 27’.
It wasn’t until 73’ that Arsenal skipper Robin van Persie started a show of his ow, netting the first of two goals – the second was at 82’.
Arsenal manager Wenger can breathe a little better as the Gunners won six of the last seven matches in all competitions and matched Tottenham on the table with 13 points in nine fixtures.
Stoke, who have been one of the Premier League’s sensations this season, have lost for the second time this term and were outranked by their opponents, who picked up 13 points so far with this win. Tony Pulis’ side are 9th, one point behind Arsenal.
