Two penalties from Sejad Salihovic late on cancelled out an early Robert Lewandowski strike to ensure that Hoffenheim will play in a season ending relegation play-off.
The game ended in controversial fashion when Dortmund were awarded a goal in the dying seconds but the referee after consoltation with his linesman cancelled out the effort for offside ensuring Hoffenheim won to earn a dramatic win.
Top four Schalke
