AFC Bournemouth produced a remarkable turnaround as they came from 3-0 down at half-time to defeat Luton Town by four goals to three at the Vitality Stadium.

This game was originally played in mid-December but was abandoned mid-way through due to Tom Lockyer suffering a cardiac arrest. Hatters’ skipper Lockyer was in the stands to support his Luton teammates and they started the game fantastically well, taking the lead early on.

In the ninth minute of the match, Tahith Chong headed the visitors into the lead after being picked out well by former Accrington Stanley midfielder, Jordan Clark.

Luton then doubled their lead on the half-hour mark when Ireland international Chiedozie Ogbene managed to reach Alfie Doughty’s excellent low cross.

Ross Barkley, who will be hoping to be being considered for Gareth Southgate’s England squad announced tomorrow, made it 3-0 in first-half stoppage-time when leathered a shot past Neto from inside the box.

Bournemouth pulled a goal back just five minutes into the second-half when Dominic Solanke held the ball well from a Chris Mepham flick and he finished cooly past Thomas Klaminski.

The Cherries then got it back to 3-2 in the 62nd minute when Ukrainian defender Illya Zabarnyi aimed a header at goal, which was hooked clear by Doughty but not before the ball had crossed the line.

Just a few minutes later and Andoni Iraola’s side drew level when Antoine Semenyo produced a well struck, low shot on his left foot to give Kaminski no chance.

Bournemouth then managed to steal all three points with Semenyo notching a brace with an 84th minute strike after being put through on goal by January signing, Enes Unal.

Luton rallied in second-half stoppage-time but couldn’t produce another moment of magic to salvage a point and they now remain firmly in the bottom three and the relegation places, three points behind Nottingham Forest. Bournemouth produced a come back from 2-0 down to draw with Sheffield United at the weekend, too, as they cement themselves in mid-table.

Wow, what a game! I couldn't believe the turnaround from Bournemouth in the second half. It must have been heartbreaking for Luton to lose that lead after such a strong start. Disappointing result, but still proud of my team's effort.
