Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United and Chelsea are in competition with Paris Saint-Germain to secure the signing of Manu Kone.
The estimated cost for whoever wishes to acquire the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder is expected to be at least €50 million (£44m).
Kone transferred from Toulouse to Gladbach in 2021 and has since made 54 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
While Manchester United boasts two exceptional midfielders in Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, both are above the age of 30 and may not be long-term solutions for the club. Meanwhile, Chelsea requires a defensive midfielder to fill the void left by Jorginho's move to Arsenal and N'Golo Kante's injury, enabling their record signing Enzo Fernandez to play in a more advanced position.
Manu Koné will be one of the big names on the market — understand he could be leave ‘Gladbach for a minumum of €50m plus add-ons as price tag ⭐️🇫🇷
