Championship side Bristol City will take top flight West Ham back to Ashton Gate after the Robins earned a deserved draw against the Hammer at London Stadium on Sunday.
The Robins came from behind in East London to force a third-round rematch, academy graduate Tommy Conway's 61st minute equaliser cancelling out the in-form Jarrod Bowen's early opener for the hosts.
David Moyes' Hammers burst out of the blocks and were a goal up within five minutes when Bowen netted his 14th goal of the current campaign - the former Hull forward rounding City goalkeeper Max O'Leary before firing past the despairing Cameron Pring on the line.
Despite trailing, the visitors hung in the cup tie and showed resolve both with and without the ball to find a way back into the game.
Sam Bell and Rob Dickie were both denied by West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski as the Robins searched for an equaliser and the visitors' pressing paid dividends after the interval when Conway found space and slotted the ball into the net.
The Bristolians survived a scare or two late on - with both Danny Inge and Divin Mubama going close for West Ham - but the game finished all square to earn Liam Manning's Championship side another crack at their top flight opposition.
