Chelsea fought back to earn a point against Brentford in a 2-2 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Brentford started the early proceedings, with a half-chance emerging in the 10th minute as Sergio Reguilon's cross found Ivan Toney.
However, Toney's shot was blocked by Chelsea's Levi Colwill, prompting fervent appeals for a penalty from the home side.
In the 35th minute, Chelsea broke the deadlock, with Nicolas Jackson heading in a brilliant delivery from Malo Gusto.
The second half witnessed a spirited start from Brentford, and they managed to level the game in the 50th minute through Mads Roerslev.
The goal came from Chelsea's inability to deal with a Yoane Wissa cross, allowing Roerslev to fire into the net from close range.
Chelsea, determined to reclaim control, had opportunities to regain the lead. Cole Palmer and Fernandez had chances, but their efforts fell wide of the mark.
Wissa and Sergio Reguilon also threatened, with the game hanging in the balance as both teams aimed for the elusive third goal.
In the 69th minute, Wissa produced a moment of brilliance scoring a sensational bicycle kick to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.
However, Mauricio Pochettino's side found a lifeline in the 84th minute when Axel Disasi headed in an excellent cross from Cole Palmer to level the scores at 2-2.
The final minutes of the match were pulsating, with Chelsea pressing for a winner and Brentford determined to defend the draw. However, neither team could find the winner in the closing exchanges, resulting in a share of the points.
The draw leaves the Blues in 11th position in the Premier League table, while Brentford sit in 15th place, six points clear of the relegation zone.
