Roberto Firmino is nearing a deal to join the Saudi Arabian team Al-Ahli.
The 31-year-old forward is currently a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired. Initially, there were rumors that Barcelona was interested in signing him, but it seems he will not only leave Europe but also join the Saudi Pro League.
Sources suggest that negotiations between Firmino and Al-Ahli are at an advanced stage, with only a few minor details left to be settled.
Al-Ahli, a team that is returning to the top tier of Saudi football, has presented Firmino with a contract offer that would keep him at the club until June 2026, spanning a three-year period.
Al Ahli is reportedly eager to finalize the deal this week so they can proceed with the necessary medical tests.
During this summer, several prominent players like N'Golo Kanté, Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, and Kalidou Koulibaly have already made the move to the Saudi Pro League, and more are expected to follow suit.
