The Londoners were the match dominators and they would most probably have earned the three deserved points in the end hadn't been for goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer to ruin their good effort.
Andrew Johnson scored the first goal for Fulham at the 19th minute as the home team contiuned to lead the game opposed to a harmless Twente which presented a good defense throughout the match but were not imaginative enough to achieve a goal at their own merit.
Martin Jol spared some of his key players, namely Philippe Senderos, Damien Duff and Bobby Zamora, looking perhaps at the weekend match against Manchester City. This could arguably be the reason why Fulham were unsuccessful at the cutting-edge and didn't manage to secure a win with a second goal.
The conclusion was that the Dutch visitors ended up taking a lucky point back home.
