Coventry City have announced the signing of Bristol City defender Jay Dasilva on a free transfer.
The former Chelsea product’s contract with the Robins is due to expire at the end of June meaning that the Dasilva will be free to move to Coventry from the 1st July.
“We are delighted to announce Jay as our first signing of the 2023/24 season,” manager Mark Robins said about the player who has signed a four-year contract.
“We have monitored Jay for a while now and are delighted that, despite interest from elsewhere, he has decided to join Coventry City.
“He is dynamic, attack-minded wing-back with great technical ability, who will add further quality and pace to our squad. We look forward to working with him.”
Since joining Bristol City initially on loan from Chelsea, former England youth international Dasilva has gone on to 144 games for the club.
As well as announcing the arrival of Dasilva, Coventry City also today confirmed that Fankaty Dabo, Julien Dacosta, Todd Kane, Sean Maguire, Michael Rose, Martyn Waghorn, and Tyler Walker who will be leaving the club once their contracts expire.
