Manchester City defender, Joleon Lescott, has received a call-up for England squad, for the friendly match against the Netherlands on Wednesday, replacing Glen Johnson who has returned to England.
Glen Johnson became the fifth player to pull out from the England squad ahead of their friendly match against the Netherlands at Wembley, after Wayne Rooney, Tom Cleverley, Kyle Walker and Darren Bent were also forced to remain on the sidelines.
Even though, the Liverpool defender's absence is thought to be only precautionary, he is also said to be doubtful for their higly awaited Premier League clash against Arsenal, at the weekend.
On the other hand, Joleon Lescott will be looking to take advantage of his chance to impress England coach Stuart Pearce, less than four months before the start of the Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
