Bayern Munich have received some disappointing news from the treatment room, with midfielder Toni Kroos being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a groin injury.
The Germany international sustained the injury in the first half of his side's 2-0 Champions League win over Juventus, at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night, being forced off the pitch after just 16 minutes, with Arjen Robben replacing him.
On Wednesday, Bayern's doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller Wohlfahrt confirmed that the 23-year-old will be out of action for "six to eight weeks."
The Bavarians are currently 20-points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table, and are aiming to become the first German side to win the league, Champions League and cup treble.
"It's very disappointing for him and for all of us," Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes told reporters.
"A lot will be decided in the next two months and his injury will take a long time."
