Olympique Lyonnais are looking at potentially bringing striker Karim Benzema back to the club where he began his career.
Benzema made his debut for Lyon as a teenager back in 2005 and went on to play 148 times for the club after winning Ligue 1 on four occasions.
Now at the age of 36, Benzema is playing his football in Saudi Arabia for Al-Ittihad but is said to be keen to move away from the club.
One potential destination is his former club, Lyon. According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins of French outlet RMC Sport, Les Gones are keen on the transfer but may face issues when it comes to the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner's wages.
Lyon certainly could do with Benzema's quality up front. The club has won just four of their 18 league games this season which sees them currently sit in the relegation zone.
