Manchester United edged past over Women's FA Cup holders Chelsea 2-1 in a thrilling semi-final clash at Leigh Sports Village, booking their spot in the Wembley.
United wasted no time, scoring within the opening minute after Leah Galton capitalised on an error from Chelsea's Eve Perisset, delivering a cross from the left that was expertly headed in by Lucia Garcia at the far post.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 23rd minute as Ella Toone delivered a lovely cross met by Rachel Williams' powerful header.
Chelsea managed to pull one back just before half-time as Lauren James fired a powerful shot past Mary Earps.
The Blues pushed for an equaliser in the second half, but Earps made a series of excellent saves, to send the Red Devils to Wembley.
This is United's first win over Chelsea since the team's launch in 2018. They now have the opportunity to claim their first major silverware when they face Tottenham at Wembley on May 12.
This result also ends Chelsea's hopes of securing a treble in what will be Emma Hayes' final campaign as manager before she takes on the role of head coach of the United States women's team in the summer.
