Oli McBurnie struck in stoppage time to earn Sheffield United a point at home to Chelsea.
The Blues enjoyed a late turnaround against Manchester United midweek and started this game at Bramall Lane with an early goal.
Noni Madueke was instrumental in that turnaround and he helped this one when his driving run earned a corner for his side.
Conor Gallagher's delivery found Thiago Silva, completely unmarked and in space near the penalty area where he was able to apply a simple finish to make it 1-0 in the 11th minute.
Although Chelsea had much of the ball Sheffield United did threaten whenever they went forward and they grabbed an equaliser in the 32nd minute when Gustavo Hamer put in a perfect pass for Jayden Bogle to finish, although goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic perhaps should have done better to stop the effort.
The Blades had responded well to going behind and it took until the second period for Chelsea to get back into the game.
Despite taking the lead again, Mauricio Pochettino's side couldn't put the game beyond bottom-of-the-league Sheffield United who eventually struck again at the death.
It came initially from a long ball that Chelsea failed to deal with. The ball eventually went back into the box where Oli McBurnie was there to apply the finishing touch from close range and earn a point for his side.
Although Chelsea would no doubt have wanted more, that point moves them up to 10th in the table, three points behind Newcastle and with a game in hand.
Chris Wilder's team meanwhile remain at the foot of the table, three points behind Burnley with a game in hand.
