AC Milan pair Mattia De Sciglio and Ignazio Abate are likely to miss the opening Champions League group clash against Celtic next week, through injury.
De Sciglio, who sustained a knee injury in training on Monday, has been confirmed as an absence in next Wednesday's match at San Siro. The defender will have to undergo a surgery and could be out of action for up to two months.
Abate has picked up an adductor problem whilst on international duty he is expected to be on the sidelines for between eight and 10 days, which means the Italian defender is in doubt for the Celtic clash.
Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri was therefore left with a selection problem as Cristian Zaccardo is now his only fit senior full-back.
