N'Golo Kante has reached an agreement to join Al-Ittihad, the reigning champions of Saudi Arabia.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 32-year-old has signed a highly profitable contract worth €25 million per year in a four-year contract.
Kante's contract with Chelsea was set to expire this summer, prompting his move to Al-Ittihad, with the Saudi club announcing the arrival of the French midfielder through their Twitter account on Tuesday.
In the 2022-23 season, Kante's playing time was limited to nine matches in all competitions due to a hamstring injury he sustained during a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur in August.
The France international underwent surgery in October and remained sidelined for over five months, which caused him to miss the 2022 World Cup.
Throughout his tenure at Chelsea, Kante won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, and UEFA Super Cup.
Once he joins Al-Ittihad, Kante will have the opportunity to play alongside his compatriot Karim Benzema, who recently agreed to join Nuno Espirito Santo's team, the champions of the Saudi Pro League, earlier this month.
