Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho was excused for his behaviour, by both the public and the media, during his side's successful period.
Los Blancos currently sit third in La Liga, a massive 18 points behind the Catalan giants and the Spain international believes that prior to their current struggles, the 49-year-old boss was given far too much leeway.
"I remember when Madrid were winning, and Mourinho got away with murder," Pique is quoted as saying by AS.
"He even came here and poked Tito in the eye. How many games was he banned for that? None."
"Now Mourinho has picked on [Iker] Casillas, threatened a journalist, and people are criticising him. Mourinho has always been like this, ever since he arrived. And he got away with everything."
