The next wave of wonderkids

With elite clubs scouring Europe and beyond for the next Messi or Ronaldo, the sums of money being spent on footballers who are barely teenagers increases by the season. 

And it's hard not to see the cold, hard logic in recruiting wonderkids even if they're only a year or two out of primary school. 

Man City serve as a perfect example: James Trafford (€17m), Shea Charles (€17m) and Carlos Borges (€14m) were sold for a combined total of nearly 50 million Euros this summer despite never actually featuring for the Citizens' first team. 

The likes of La Liga-bound Brazilians Endrick and Roque Junior appear to be the next prodigies set for global stardom...but which domestic whippersnappers are set to make waves over the next couple of seasons?

We have a few ideas and this article looks at half a dozen youngsters from around the British Isles, all aged under 17, who are being tipped for the top.
