AC Milan waste advantage but keep the lead against Juventus (1-1)

Serie A 2011/2012, Milan, Juventus | 2012-02-25 23:11

All the same on top of the Italian Serie A, as the big showdown of the week between AC Milan and Juventus ended with a 1-1 tie.

The two giants, who were fighting for the top seat in the league, split points in a controversial game, where the match officials didn’t validate a fair goal for the home side.

It would have been the second goal for the Rossoneri, who had opened the score by a fortunate Nocerino strike at only 15’. AC Milan were the strongest side on the turfs for the whole second half, but Matri equalised at 83’ and sealed the tie.

With this result, Milan remain on the lead by one point, but Juventus still have one more match to play.
