After 30 minutes, Carlos Sánchez opened the score for Uruguay, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty area, assisted by Luis Suárez. In the 34th minute, Paolo Guerrero fired home for Peru, with a right-foot strike, after a pass from Yoshimar Yotún.
Édison Flores netted the last goal with 62 minutes on the clock with a left-foot shot inside the box. After seeing his second yellow card in the 76th minute, Jonathan Urreta was sent off and left Óscar Tabárez's team with 10-man.
After the result Uruguay are 3rd in the table, with 23 points, while Peru sit 7th place, with 18 points. With regard to the next fixture, Peru's national team will play at home against Bolivia, whilst Uruguai's national team will host Argentina.
