Chivas stumble to defeat against Monterrey

Monterrey defeated Chivas, 1x2, on Monday, in a game relating to matchweek 7. In this competition, Veljko Paunović's team came from a defeat, and Fernando Ortiz's team came from two defeats. Sergio Canales with a superb display.

The first goal was scored by Sergio Canales after 9 minutes. In the 36th minute, midfielder fired home Monterrey second goal, from the penalty spot.

Ricardo Marin netted the last goal with 66 minutes on the clock.

After the result Chivas are 4th in the table, with 13 points, while Monterrey sit 8th place, with 10 points. In the next fixture, Fernando Ortiz's team will host Club León. Meanwhile, Veljko Paunović's team visit América.
