Vancouver FC edged out Valour FC, 4-1, on Monday, in a match relating of the Canadian Premier League. Both Afshin Ghotbi's team and Phillip Dos Santos 's team held their first game in the competition.
The opening goal was scored by Jordi Swibel after 24 minutes. Shortly before the interval, Moses Dyer fired home for Vancouver FC.
After the break, Paris Gee struck the second goal for Afshin Ghotbi's team. In the 53rd minute, Vancouver FC increased their lead with a goal from Gabriel Bitar. With 56 minutes on the clock, Jordan Faria saw a red card after receiving his second yellow David Norman Jr. netted the last goal in the 67th minute.
In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vancouver FC will play at home against HFX Wanderers, while Valour FC visit Pacific FC.
