Iwobi strikes late for Fulham at Old Trafford

Alex Iwobi struck late as Fulham snatched all three points in a dramatic game at Old Trafford.

Manchester United were without in-form striker Rasmus Højlund with youngster Omari Forson making his first-ever start in the Red Devils' attack.

But it was Fulham who started the better of the two teams with Alex Iwobi having two efforts just go wide of André Onana's post.

Diogo Dalot almost had United ahead with what would have been a spectacular goal had his long-range goal not bounced off the wrong side of the post.

Fulham hit the woodwork too when Rodrigo Muniz had the strength to get past Victor Lindelöf but the Brazilian's effort bounced off the post.

The visitors eventually got their deserved lead in the 65th minute when a corner from the right was eventually thundered into the net by Calvin Bassey.

Despite being the better team, Marco Silva's side decided to drop deeper and deeper, allowing United to build pressure.

That pressure eventually told when Bruno Fernandes' effort could only be parried away by Bernd Leno with Harry Maguire the first on the scene to finish.

It looked like United were likely to hit a winner but they were caught on the counterattack late in stoppage time. Alex Iwobi had plenty of time and space to pick his corner and seal all three points for the Cottagers.
